Paulette holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, plus 47 post graduate studies from universities in Europe and the United States. She has a sales record of selling over 1,900 co-ops and co-ownership and condominium units. Paulette has a unique background in interior design and architecture. Helping to maintain the integrity of the original design and features, she has renovated many interiors, lobbies and building structures for Toronto development firms. Her home was featured in City and Country Homes magazine as well as in various American magazines. She has worked closely with many famous designers, such as Rafaell Cabrera who established the signature look throughout the U.S. and Europe for MAC cosmetics and Dennis Abbé who founded the Art Deco Society in New York and Miami and whose work has been featured in Architectural Digest and various design magazines and can be seen in well-known galleries and museums in the US. Through these working relationships, Paulette has developed a knack for designing Kitchens & Baths, as well as unique over-all space planning. She is also an experienced and sought-after Homestager. She has lobbied on behalf of a number of both co-ownerships and co-op apartment buildings in order to attempt to have their property taxes and their assessments reduced and to be assessed the same as residential condominium apartment buildings. By working together with the tax counsel she helped bring about two significant tax appeal decisions. These landmark decisions resulted in the precedent which brought about the reduction of co-op and co-ownership property taxes from a commercial assessment rate to a single family condominium residential rate. Since 1985 Paulette has assisted developers in the conversion of apartment rental buildings to co-ownerships & condominium buildings. In concert with 2 top lawyers in the city, she abolished the blanket mortgages on co-op & co-ownership buildings by getting the lenders to recognize that they were acceptable for mortgage financing security. This changed the lending practice and now permits individuals to obtain financing to assist with their purchase of units. Paulette has a thorough knowledge and understanding of co-op, co-ownership and condominium documentation, legal significance and financing options available for these forms of real estate. She has developed over the years a network of a number of legal and financing professionals who work directly with these forms of real estate property. This has enabled her to assist her clients in the process of both buying and selling real estate. Previous to selling real estate, Paulette taught for 15 years in several prestigious elementary schools and junior high schools in New York City and Huntington Long Island, New York. This background has assisted her real estate career in that she has the ability to be patient and understanding of her clients and also has the ability to advise and give direction to her clients in a clear and concise manner.
